Holiday Spiced Matcha Latte (Recipe)

Part of what makes matcha so incredible is the 100's of ways that you can use it. We recently wrote about cold brewing matcha for example, or even making a matcha coconut chia pudding.

This holiday season, we decided to make a really special holiday spiced drink with matcha. This is really easy to do and it turns out amazing.

This holiday matcha latte recipe will be a hit at a party, or a great thing to sit down and enjoy with a good book. 

We used Wonder Matcha to make this recipe. Wonder Matcha is our proprietary blend of ceremonial grade japanese matcha, with functional mushrooms and adaptogens. It's kind of like mushroom coffee....but mushroom matcha. It's loaded with benefits and flavor.

Holiday Spiced Matcha Latte Recipe


  • 1.5 tsp Wonder Matcha
  • 8 - 10oz of your milk of choice
  • 4oz warm water
  • 1.5 - 2.5 tsp of maple syrup (use less if using sweetened WM)
  • whole mulling spices of choice (like cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, orange peel, etc)
  • 1 tbls cinnamon-sugar mixture  and a lemon (optional for a sugar rimmed glass)
  • Add the milk, mulling spices, and maple syrup to a small pot and bring to a simmer. Let simmer about 10 minutes or until the flavor develops to your liking.
  • Whisk Wonder Matcha with the water until it's well blended and frothed.
  • Optional for sugar rim: Slice a piece of the lemon and slide it along the rim of your mug. Dip the rim in your cinnamon sugar mix.
  • Pour the Wonder Matcha mixture into your mug, then strain in the warmed milk. 
  • Stir well and enjoy!
